Post Req Advice dropping oil pan & pulling oil pump... (how NOT to change front seals/TB)

Well after completing my TB/BB/WP/Front seals 2 nights ago I found I developed a pretty bad oil leak. This evening I stripped it all back down - it went a hell of a lot faster now I know how to do it!!!

For anyone that has done their front seals, you know that for 3 of them, you have to pull the covers off so you can put the O-ring on behind. For the forth, both seals are done from the front. When I was doing my seals I make the mistake of thinking I had to pull the oil pump to change a seal behind. BIIIIG MISTAKE!!!

I undid all the bolts and tried to pry the oil pump off. I broke the seal and managed to pry the top part about 1mm apart. I realized not long after that to pull the oil pump, you need to drop the oil pan, so I tightened the oil pump bolts back up. Apparently there is some kind of sealant applied when installing the oil pump, which I destroyed by prying the oil pump. 2 nights ago when I started the car for the first time in about 3-4 weeks, it started leaking oil immediately, and pretty bad too.

I haven't got both belts off yet, so I can't get behind the inner timing belt cover yet, but I'm 90% sure that's where my leak is coming from. The only way I can fix this bad leak is by dropping the oil pan, pulling the oil pump, applying new sealant, and putting it all back together again.

Now for the questions:

1) Is there a procedure out there for dropping the oil pan?

2) Do you think I can drain the oil, undo the oil pan bolts and lower the oil pan an inch or so without removing everything else around it? That way I can pull the oil pump and reseal it without TOO much trouble.

3) My oilpan gasket is less than 6000 miles old (P.O. recently changed it). Can I re-use the gasket? Do you think the porsche mechanic would have put some kind of sealant on the oil pan gasket?

4) Any tips for doing the oil pump?

5) What sealant am I supposed to use, and where can I get it? I know Brumos (local porsche place) will NOT have it.

I hope to start unbolting the oil pan tomorrow evening, so I need as much info as possible by tomorrow lunch time (so I can go out and buy parts if necessary).

Any feedback you all can give me will be MUCH appreciated - as always.

THANKS GUYS!!!

Mechanics usually use some type of sealant on the corners of the oil pan so I would buy a new one.
