It's been a long time since I worked in IT, so I really don't know how the old stuff stacks up against the new.
I have heard recently that Nasa's having to stockpile old computers off Ebay so they have enough spare parts to keep their dinosaurs running!

Wow, VMS! Brings back a lot of memories!! I was the Rdb/VMS Product Manager at Digital for 7 years!! For those who don't know: Rdb was the BEST DATABASE on the Planet for years!!
