doesn't look like he was really selling it. See the starting price and NO RESERVE MET...just wasting people's time trying to see what his car is worth maybe? I dunno...looks that way..

Really, really nice car, but 18.8 to start... hard to do in this market. I love the wheels

I don't like the rear wing and the tinted tail lights.

There. Someone has a negative to add to the crazy price.

Hey Rick - not that I am trying to change your opinion but Porsche built four really bad *** 968s with turbocharged motors that were fast as heck! They designed that rear wing to go on the back of these four cars to produce more downforce. Here is a website with pics of these four cars and more info.

http://968turbo.homestead.com/

It was probably partially the fault of these four cars that 944/968s are no longer made as they were too fast for the 911 to keep up with

Probably true. Too fast, too affordable.

I actually don't like the big wing unless its a track car. The upgraded wing on the later cars is nicer.

Those wheels look better in person than in the pictures. They don't look as good as the set Albert had on the car before though. That is where I saw his car in person, picking up these babies used... Man they have transformed the look of my car!

Now if only I could upgrade to a 993...

he wanted $28k for it straight up through a sale. People told him the car was worth $17k max.
He put it on ebay and got $18,800, put had a reserve. Actually he may have gotten a few more thousand if the reserve was met which would have encouraged people to bid cause they would have actually won.
Basically proves the worth of the car... A car is worth what someone will pay for it PERIOD. Ebay was the BEST choice for this car, largest market, more people interested in 'one off' type cars.
If there is a 'lifechanging' problem that makes you sell the car, you may want to look at trying to sell it for what you are going to get for it- upper teens

Ebay is usually better for parts too. I sold parts on there for way more than I would have gotten here.

The 993 didn't look like this when I traded. Did a little tinkering on it to get it this way.

I sold it yeasterday. I did not want to, but needed the cash.

I did list it on Rennlist a while back but many insulted me with their low ball value.

Albert made one of the most impressive 951's I have ever seen.

I sold it for 21K. I had 180 watchers, over 50 phone calls. Everybody wanted it.

Kodos Albert. Thanks for the chance to own it.

Congratulations on the sale! I think 21k is a great price and shows that heavily modified one of a kind cars like this can command a pretty nice premium.

Can you share with us what part of the country the car will be headed off towards?
