Post wax for polished phone dials

hello, I am considering polishing my wheels but I know that the polished aluminum will oxidize pretty quickly if I don't protect it with something. What kind of wax do you guys recommend for aluminum wheels? I heard of protecting wheels with petroleum jelly but that seems like it would pick up a lot of grime off that would otherwise not get stuck to the wheels.
Thanks in advance.

Petroleum Jelly is what is recommended by the owners manual for Fuchs. Not sure about Phonedials. I use it pretty often. What I do is glob it on and let it sit for 2 days (I only drive the car on nice weekends). After the 2 days I take the excess off with the blue workshop type paper towels (their not harsh/abrasive) and buff with a terry towel. If you buff them real well it doesn't attract dust anymore than any other protectant and it even makes my dingy Fuchs look better.

I'm about to polish my rims and will probably end up getting a clear coat protectant applied to them.
