Yup, you have to sign up but it is free, I am in the Saab 900 Turbo specs now...did Saab get purchased by Honda?

This site is very fast for the number of users logged on!

Dont stir up a pot of sh%t- it makes all of US look bad. and I certainly dont want some riceboy charging me at a light. Keep it pure, sane and simple. I happen to LOVE my car and dont want it KEYED by some *** in a civic with a type-r sticker.

Let them streetrace each other to extinction.

I find the site to be very well organized..but I wonder how long these engines would last!! I am out of here. I agree about getting in the face of people who are trying to improve any car.

From the site...

I have found that the GSR is an all around killer performer. you have good low end torque, insane top end and a block that is the strongest that honda makes. if you are going nuts with it anyway, look at what the top racers are running..

Kenny Tran GSR 820+whp
Venom GSR 900+whp
Jensen Oda GSR 600+whp

I would just as soon have my old Honda hurricane 600 if i wanted to 120 mph+ (which i did often in Fl) at least i wouldnt kill someone else for my youthful zest for life.
life is short- dont streetrace. My .02

My last post on this issue.

Isn't that a Yamaha motor?

Having owned just about every Japanese sportscar available (240Z, 280ZX, RX-7, Supra...), I think there's a lot of useful info we can glean from those boards. Of course, you gotta sift through 99% of the garbage, testosterone-laden posturing, etc., but the data's there.

It's unfortunate that the last several years have seen the other "import" market pick up more of a teenage, image-oriented, street-racing 'rice' connotation...

The very best R&D on turbo set-ups is happening in the Japanese car market. The best Honduh pro drag cars (I don't get it, but someone obviously likes it) are making over 1000 bhp from under 2 liters! There is a great deal of know-how there. As you said, in many cases the problem is sorting through the crap that most certainly does exist. But (gasp) there is some of that here as well.

Ok I will let the secret out as it has already on the 928 board. The main reason I needed some forums is to study up on the japanese parts and setups because I'm going to open a speed shop in the Denver area and the ricers will be where I will get most of my business, guess I will have to learn to love them... (will be alot easier with their money in my pocket too )
