Default strut nut - locking washer?

I replaced my Koni inserts this weekend. The strut nut that came off the old insert seemed to have a different thread pitch (they'd go on a little, then get really tight. I didn't want to push them).

So, I used the nuts that came with the new inserts. There were lock washers in the package with the nuts. Should I use them?

Might not be a bad idea. I did not use washers when installing my camber plates... though the nuts did not back off they were not tight when I went to remove things in the fall for winter maintenance.

I had one strut nut come loose. Like you, it didn't come off, but it was a little freaky.

Use the lock washers that came with the inserts, they were included for a reason...
