1991 944S2 mystery sensor under intake manifold
Check it out... what the heck is this thing? Anyone know what it is and what its part number is? I've checked PET and the Workshop Manuals and can't find any references to this thing. I think it's a 1991 exclusive.

Mystery solved...
It's a temp sensor... measures engine air temp and activates the fans if the engine air gets too warm, regardless of coolant temp... which explains why it's connection isn't tied into the DME harness but the cooling fan harness.
