Post painting center caps

i have seen people paint the crest on their centercaps, im planning on stripping mine, and painting the gold, black and red on the crest then putting a clearcoat over them, what brand paint / exact colors have you guys used for this?

not that anyone cares but i just got my wheels repainted and my calipers done red and my porsche crest valve caps: http://visualresponse.org/misc/pictures/dansporsche/exterior6_6-24-2002.JPG

now i just need new silver lug nuts and either paint my center caps or inlaid crest center caps

i dont see why it would be bad...
the repaint you do might not last forever but hell, what does? you want to make them the same color as your wheels huh? its a cool idea.. try it.. i think i have some spare lugs from Jeremy when he gave me his box of 944 goodies so if you ruin a set i can give you those

im not sure, id like to paint them all the same color as the wheels so they blend in, but then i will have that one with the black plastic cap and it will stand out even more, maybe if i made them all black

i dont see any rain in the weather report, but if it does rain i definately wont be there.... or atleast not with my porsche. last time i drove it in the rain i ended up sliding sideways across 3 lanes (that actually happened like a block away from where the autox is being held)

oh good, only a 10% chance of rain..
i havent checked the weather since last weekend when it said 40%

dont even remind me about sliding in rain... thats how i lost my quarter panel but i figured.. drive slow to the autocross and then have fun spinning on the 'course' its a good way to learn how to control your beast in the wet.. oh well.. better to just go slow!
