Jap CRAB?!? I've never bought crab from Japan but if the high prices of local BC crab are any indication, I bet imported crab would be ridiculously overpriced!

When i wrote Jap Crab it was mainly because iam so bored of these "clones" they make in Japan.Tell me even a single japanese sports car which is not copied from some other car.Take a look for older Mazda RX's its like 928 & 944 welded together.MX 5 copies directly old british Triumph's etc.Quality is not allways so good as it is claimed to be.I have had quite many japanese cars, Toyota's & Nissan's.OK it was back in the 80's.Lot of problems at least in my '88 Toyota Carina (it was a new car then).Just counted that i have own over 10 of japanese cars.In 1989 i bought my first BMW.Used to have three of E30, 316i, 320i & 325i.It was a great car.In 1995 change to VW.Still have one.
The second reason why i avoid japanese cars is the economics. They are very anxious to sell their products, but try to sell something back to them !You U.S cizicens should now that ! At least iam trying to keep EU economics in balance...
I rather buy stuff from the countries which buy stuff from us.My favorite ones are Germany,Sweden,USA,UK.. etc.The previous countries are top 4 trading partners for Finland. If i can remember correctly Japan is in the place 25 or something !

**** off. Plain and simple. Trying to degrade someone based upon what they own is just low. No wonder Porsche owners have such a bad reputation...

Just saw the C&D test on th new Z at the grocery store- that thing does pretty well- I can't remember all the stats, but:

0-60: 5.4
1/4: 14.1 @ 101.x
0-120: 21.x
0-130: 26.6
Top speed: 156
70-0: 164ft
weight dist: 53/47
Cx: track trim level: .29 b/c of dif spoilers or something. Other levels: .30- PRETTY IMPRESSIVE!

Top speed could be a little better considering the low drag- they tested the track version BTW. What's also strange, to me, is that the front-mid engine, or whatever they are calling it, is mounted completely behind the front wheels, but, the car still has a 53/47- I would think it would be about perfect: around a 48/52 or so...

The brakes sound pretty damn good- the rotors are more than 3/4" larger than even the Turbo S, and, the accelaration is stronger too, although, not by too terribly much- the Turbo S that was tested in C&D w/shorter gearing ran SLIGHTLY better to the 1/4 but the 0-120, was 22.1- a regular Turbo S would be even further behind, although, eventually, would catch up and outrun b/c of higher top speed. Of course, the Z's got more than 14yrs worth of technological advancements on the turbo S- considering that, one might expect a little better- ot also doesn't have a chance when running against a Turbo S that has been chipped (assuming the 951 has been well maintained)- of course, the obvious Z retaliation (and it's a DAMN good one) is: it's top price (LOADED track version) is under $35K whereas the Turbo S went for ~$47K 14yrs ago- that's about like buying a new M5 or AMG CLK55 right now. Not trying to make a major case for the new Z, OR the 951- it's not really a competition- just stating a few specs from the mags- it will definately be worth a test drive IMO, although I doubt one will ever find it's way into my garage unless the aftermarket shows it's easy to mod- now if they made a turbo version that could be tricked out easily...
