How do you manage to get the clip that holds the rod on the gas pedal to go back on?! I have been fighting with it for 3 hours!!!!

Any Ideas? Please and thank you!

LOL they are a PIA. On that type of clip I use my needle nose Vise-Grips, make sure both tips are solidly contacting the groove, and tap the end of the Visegrips once with a plastic mallet. Trying to finesse it on is next to impossible. It's the same clip as on the shift lever.

Ill try that, I'm sooo close to finishing my conversion from linen to black interior, that this little clip is killing me.

My crux after a clutch job was trying to put the upper return spring on the clutch pedal...I'm convinced it's not possible.

??? What did you do? I changed my carpet without doing that. I took the peal off of the floor.

Did you lift the carpet over the pedal?

For some reason I thought I had to remove the clip to remove the pedal. So I did, and now I still can't get it on. Ill work on it some more tomorow after I go to look at a van for my dad.
