Cripes, I'm getting Really OLD. I've looked at this thread for the first time and can honestly say I don't even know 1% of the artists, let alone the songs themselves
One of the main reasons I own a 951 rather than something like a 911 or a Ferrari 308/328/348 is that when you want to cruise in peace, you can.
Then, I can listen to:
Rachmaninoff - preludes, piano concerto's (p.c's) 1,2,3 & 4.
Chopin - most, including his 2 p.c's
Tchaikovsky - p.c.1, violin concerto 1
Mozart - harp concerto and clarinet concerto
I guess being a pianist drives you to these things <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" />
Of course, when driving hard - Frankie goes to Hollywood (Pleasuredome) and Meatloaf (BOOH)usually come up first
I used to own a BMW 7 series - damn, you could listen to music *properly* in that car - still miss it ...

Thursday - Understanding in a car crash
Even if Thursday does not make it guys, I really really encourage you to get their new cd, they are a great group of guys and have a great sound.

Here's what I don't want on this CD:
Anything by the Beach Boys, No Doubt, Alien Antfarm, Beethoven, Cake, the Dandy Warhols, Len, or Sublime...
Keep the votes comin' and take as much time as you need.

Oh...and the nays:
Whiskey in the jar - Matallica
Relax - Franki goes to Hollywood
ANY AND ALL Godsmack
No Doubt - Hey Baby
Hero - from the spiderman soundtrack
Alien Ant Farm songs
The 9th - Beethoven
DustinWayman, Thursday owns! They have a very cool sound...kind of reminds me of Dashboard Confessional/Further seems Forever with some screaming thrown in here and there. I didn't realize I threw them in my nomination pool...otherwise it would have been a toss up between jawbreaker and them.

My votes:
Prodigy - Climbatize
Primus - Jerry Was a Racecar Driver
There's a lot of songs on the list that I like, and a lot I don't like...so for that reason I'll reserve my nays until I see votes for songs I don't like This thread is going to be huge.

Hey Spuns, I definately like your taste in music. Did you go to warped tour to see Thursday play, I wanted to see them so much, but my a%% hole gf was pissed off bc she wanted to stay in the pit during some of the main bands. I heard they played a great show though. You are right about them having sort of a angry Dashboard Confessional sound. Although I have seen Chris Caraaba (lead singer of dashboard) get pretty into his vocals making his whole band compensate for it and really cranking out some thursday type tunes. Some other bands that I highly reccomend going to see are Student Rick and Rufio, If you dont know of em, check em out sometime.
