Question I found 964 wheels at dealership...will they fit?

here is my question...

here at the Porsche dealership where i work they have a set of 964 wheels sitting upstairs in the parts room.

they are the 5 lug 5 spoke wheels that sort of look like the 911 cup wheels.

anyway the Porsche technician here told me they would bolt onto my 84 944, but since the offset is different the wheels would not stick out like the fuchs.

so would it be worth it to buy this set of wheels if i can get them for dirt cheap and then get spacers, or should i just forget about it?

You didn't say what size the wheels are, the 911s often had narrower wheels than our cars. You would need spacers/studs all around.
The fuchs wheels that you have are some of the lightest and strongest wheels that Porsche ever used, so odds are that changing them would be a downgrade. IMHO, spend the cash on something else.
