I've got some pretty good drips coming off a cross member near the O2 sensor. I can't see the origin. No signs of water on the floor pan or carpets. It's happening on my '87 944 which has the air conditioner unit located in the center of the dash unlike my '88 924S where it's above the passengers foot well. I know the condensation tube on the 924S goes through the floor pan and can be easily seen from under the car. Where's the tube on these late 944's?

Almost directly below the radio. If you crawl under the car and look up into the tunnel near the starter, you should be able to find the tube. I don't see how this would get to the crossmember. Look at the suction piping to the compressor and see if the insulation is intact. If not, then moisture will condense on this line and could be dripping to the crossmember.

Here's a real simple way to find out.
- spot liquid dripping again
-either back car up or pull forward to uncover puddle
-stick finger in puddle
-determine if its water or coolant
-if water, all is well
-if coolant, find leak and repair

Definitely condensation. It's been really humid here the last few days and the amount of water dripping was surprising. Seems like an odd place to have the condensation tube empty.
