No, just make sure the scooped out area in the inner diameter is positioned correctly, if it isn't the gasket will interfere with the injector. A thin coating of bearing grease on the gasket will help hold it in place while you're installing the manifold.

Thought of this too - the manifold bolts require surprisingly little torque - resist the temptation to overtighten them -

Thanks for the info Matt I hope the torque specs are in the Hanes manual that is what I have to work with for now. But don't have it with me right now to make sure.

I think the torque for the manifold bolts is ~ 12 or 14 ft-lbs. Make sure you stick the hex bit deep into the bolt...I ended up stripping a couple of the bolts because I was hurrying to re-attach my manifold because it was 4:00 in the morning and it was the 3rd time I took off the manifold because I kept forgetting to move stuff attached to the mainfold or stuff underneath it and that jam. Make sure you get the dip stick tube into the oilpan...I made the mistake of misaligning it after the 3rd time I had to re-attach my manifold and it was a pain to move into place with the manifold attached. Good luck!
