And couple Nm's of tq with wider band... and ~250hp from 968 engine with a chip is ok figure -- some of us don't want a turbo.

(I want a SC )

Nice work on the install. Would love to do the same with my CPR wing. The idea of gluing the wing on (semi) permanently never really sat well with me. Do you have any more pics and details of your install? Thanks

Yep, it was given to me when I was 15 since then I've been upgrading it.

The engine swap was really not that much work ( it took one weekend to install, 25 hours we drove in Saturday and drove out Sunday), also it is a much better daily driver than our turbo, and I think any one else who has done the conversion will agree with me it was more than worth it, the all around power is definantly noticable. (the s2 used to not be able to keep up with our modded turbo, the s3 is very close now or even)

Yes, I will post them up later today or tomorrow, it was worth the extra work.

And Alex, I decided to use an lsd transmission from an s2, because of the gear ratios.

The car looks great! That is exactly what I want to do with my cpr wing however the wing lined up with the trim doesn't sit flush on the hatch.

The car looks amazing. I wish I could buy one. Maybe I should buy an S2 instead of a GTO. Man decisions.

Oh, I was just responding to V2. I definitely see the allure of the S3 regardless of the tranny. That car is pure evil, excellent choices.

Looking forward to it as that is exactly the procedure I've been planning to take. Just got to get off my lazy butt and do it.

Thank you for the added pics. Key lock looks awful close to the tail trim piece. Does the key fit and turn with out any issues? I was thinking of modifying that section to allow more clearance.

No there is plenty of clearance, we put the factory weather strip back in and that is why it looks so close, and to adhere the metal to the fiberglass I used polyurethane construction ashesive(from Home Depot), to secure it on to the hatch we had the lower center trim already bolted onto the hatch and then we bolted the wing to the two side trim pieces and bolted that on after (note our wing had threaded inserts already in the fiberglass, in the wing only)

And leuk yes it's lowered as far as it will go without rubbing

Great looking car. It was fun to meet you and your father at the swap meet last weekend.

I hope you can make use of that blown S2 tranny. A person at the swap meet gave me the name of a guy in Merced that rebuilds 944 transmissions as a side hobby. If you want his contact info let me know.
