S2 suspension questions
There have been a lot of posts regarding the different types of stuts for the fronts of 944's. I have been greatly confused by the talk of all the different types of struts out there.
My question is for my '91 S2 non-M030 what sort of strut do I need and where might I be able to find them. I would like to put Koni Yellows on all four corners or something comprable.
Also in regards to springs, I would be interested in finding some springs that are slightly stiffer but that would not lower the car as it is my daily driver and many driveways around here are hard to get up as it is. Do these exist? If so where might I look to find them?
Thanks for all help in advance.

Its the old adage, "how much money have you got..."
Tom Pultz has an excellent primer on his website at <a href="http://www.944s2.com/" target="_blank">http://www.944s2.com/</a> in the suspension section.
The best bang for the buck is to install Koni strut inserts at the front with matching rears. The front inserts cost ~$150 each and there's a few hours of labor to install them.
A good starting point is :
<a href="http://www.smartcart.com/Paragon/cgi/search.cgi?terms=924%2C944%2C968::Suspension&category=924%2C944%2C968+:+ Suspension" target="_blank">http://www.smartcart.com/Paragon/cgi/search.cgi?terms=924%2C944%2C968::Suspension&category=924%2C944%2C968+:+ Suspension</a>
The matching rear shocks cost ~$115 each.
Paragon also sell a height adjustable front coil-over kit for your S2 struts and it only costs $250. This includes the (linear) springs. I've heard that you can go up to #200 springs at the front without modifying the rear torsion bars. Over #200, you would need to increase the rear torsion bars and the labor for that is expensive.
If you decided to spend some real money, there are lots of places for custom coil-over kits, Bilstein "cup" setups, etc which are all very nice but it starts to add up cost wise.
Don't forget to upgrade your sway bars. the 968 M030 bars are very nice and should run you around ~$450 for the pair.
Karl.
