Post Is DME relay a Porsche only item?? Audi/VW?

My car is developing some hard to start problems when hot. It started last year a few times during the summer. It happened a few times in the last 2 months and 2 times in one day yesterday. I have seen in the archives it could be the relay or even a check valve in the fuel pump, or the speed and refernce sensors. I will look at the sensors since they may be accessible but thought I would replace the relay because it is relatively cheap. I replaced a relay in my car recently that had the vw/audi logo on it so i went to the vw dealer and he had one. Easy. The DME relay doesn't have the logos on it, but the number on the relay starts with 944. I will call the VW dealer and ask if he has one, but i was wondering if anyone knows if it is Porsche only.
