New Excellence with 944 Market Update out today!
#31
Thanks for your post Karl. Your site is a great resource.
I subscribe to Excellence and it is always a happy day when the new issue is in my mailbox.
However, I agree with the criticism of the 944/951 market report.
Although the body of the article is much the same as last year's, the comment that 951s are "showing their age" (or whatever) seems to be a stretch. The cars are only about 5-10% older THIS year than they were LAST year. I can't believe that all of a sudden that 951 reliability has tanked.
As for the rise in 951 market values, it is testament that the 951 is a great car. And Porschephiles are finally beginning to appreciate it.
Consider... 951 values have risen in an AWFUL market for used cars, and for cars in general. Most cars have depreciated like mad over the past year. The fact that 951 values have risen is impressive. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
