David,

The wheels look terrific. Do they stic out because of the way you specified them or is it the tyres that you are using that allows the rims to stick out?

Rough rule of thumb with CCW, Fikse, Kinesis and others is weight = diameter (17" = ~17lbs, 18" = ~18lbs). Of course this varies a little with widths, but most of the weight is in the center billet.

David -

Your car is stunning. Great shape, and the wheels set it off. I love the cage too!

Nice work my man!

Thanks for the comments. I love this car. Just as nice to look at as it is too drive. Well, almost. Perry, I will try to e-mail you a high resolution photo as requested. The CCW rims were not specified to have a big lip, but they came this way. The tire sizes are appropriate for the rim size as well. I'll have to contact them to find out the reason sometime. BTW, my tires ar 255/40/17s and 275/40/17s on 9.5 and 10.5 rims.

David,
I run a 275 on a 10.5 BBS with no problems. But the sidewall is close to the wheel lip. When I stack them on the tire rack the rims almost touch. Some tires are worse than others. A few of the Hoosiers have a 'rim guard' molded into the sidewall. That bead of rubber sticks out past the rest of the sidewall. I beleive some of the street tires do the same thing to help prevent curbing.

BTW, I am about to order 2 sets of those in 18's. Nice wheels.

David,

Care to give some spec's on those wheels?
Namely weight/offset F&R; 'Large' center vs 'Small' center?
Did you choose the 'polished' option, or this that how they come?

Inquiring minds that would like to duplicate want to know

Thanks!

I'm curious to know what changes are made for the street version and how much heavier those would be. I've been giving a lot of thought to getting a set with the large center (in black or charcoal) with the usual polished outers.

The CCW wheels are the fully polished version. I know they have other finishes such as black and titanium centers. I believe they only make the large center now. My bolts are the upgraded stainless ones. My size of the CCW wheels are 17 X 9.5"/10.5" front/rear with the standard turbo s offsets of 65mm/60mm front/rear. I am not sure if this is combatable with the stock suspension, since I have the 2.5 inch coilovers. As usual, you may want to ask Danno. I'm sorry, but I don't know the details of the street wheels, so you may want to give them a call. Alan, the rim still sticks out further than a typical tire edge would protect--trust me--its unusual.

david according to danno, the 2.5 ohm area your simmens injectors are in will fry your dme over some time 2 years or less maybe, they will make your dme computer overheat and work twice as fast/hard as before creating heat in the dme, the resistors are used to get the dme back to stock conditions and help releve the heat, danno sells the kit for 70 bucks, it wont hurt you only help your dme, its insurance if you get me, nothing related to an arc2 ok, check with danno
