Good to hear however just because the oil light doesn't come on doesn't mean you're protected 100%.

Also bear in mind that when Porsche had M1 emblazoned all over their race cars back in the 70s, 80s, & 90s (at least) they were running with a Straight 50w Shelloil. So don't always believe even what comes out of Porsche's mouth so to speak.

As I'm sure you know, what you put in your car on a track, especially a pure race car, is (should be) wildly different than what goes into a street car. So I'm not so sure what that means other than that Porsche will take whatever sponsors they can get for their teams.

The point being while they looked like they only used M1 exclusively (in whatever related formulation for the desired purpose), they were using another brand. While they appeared to be standing behind the product, it was in fact not good enough to use on the track. Or that's how I would read it...

I'm not sure it wasn't good enough. Just not appropriate.
