Is it possible to mount a regular Thule roof rack on a 944 Coupe? It would be to hold a 40 lb kayak or two. Thanks!

I have one of the Porsche factory 944 roof racks, looks stable enough for a kayak. Thule equivalent should be too. I hope to use mine for track wheels/tires.

I was looking for the factory roof rack for a while but gave up, couldn't find one. I want to do some power touring when the car is done.
