Default Brake bleeding - first time.

Going to bleed the brakes this week. What happens when the fluid level in the master cylinder drops below the line at the side of the reservoir for the clutch? Will I need to bleed it then as well? If I purchase a pressure bleeder will that ensure the reservoir stays full so I don't have to bleed the clutch circuit?

You'll want to bleed the clutch line anyway. Its just as easy as the brakes, especially with the pressure bleeder.

No harm done with the fluid going below the clutch hose point, other than having to bleed the clutch. (Obviously if you're bleeding the clutch, the fluid can't go below the hose level). Just don't let it go empty.... you'll have to bleed the entire system if you bleed the tank dry.

I highly recommend the Motive Power Bleeder for this. No worries about running the reservoir dry when bleeding and it makes it an easy 1 person job. If you were closer I would lend you mine.

The plans to make your own bleeder (Found through search) work very well. Cost less than 20 bucks to make it (If you like tinkering with little projects). Otherwise, defiantly get the motive bleeder.

Our brake systems bleed a little different than other cars as well. RL, RR, FR, FL, clutch... counterclockwise circle. If you're bleeding from scratch (had the master cylinder off), then you better plan on at least 2 liters of fluid. The system is a SOB to bleed sometimes.
