thanks ice and dan, i assume that this statement : "The thing about the e-code beam pattern is that there's a sharp cut-off between the lighted road section and the stuff above 3-feet off the ground." this really means light is great on the ground but it also will light up the road too up ahead, not just brilliant shinning in front of the bumper, i will assume the lighting far ahead will be lit up really well also, ideally i want the road in front of me lit as much as possible from 10 feet to 400 feet, i will assume this will be done, lastly what are the kit costs again? full boat with 2 different bulbs 100/90 and 55/60 and 2 spares for each ice, thanks

tecart, you will have no problem lighting up 400 feet of road in front of you no matter which bulb you use. <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" /> That is only 130 yards. Start thinking many hundreds of yards.

I haven't tested myself but have been advised that just the Cibie E-Code lens with 60/55 watt bulbs and no wiring upgrades will put light on the road 2.5 times as far as DOT stock on low beam and 3.5 on high. How? The lens design, quality of materials and manufacturing.

I don't know exactly what testing procedures were used but just ask users like Rennlister's if they noticed a difference. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

The Full Boat kit is $349.50 which includes a spare set of 100/90 bulbs and shipping. If you want some high performance 60/55 watt bulbs also, those are $10 each and wouldn't cost any more to ship.
