Post How Do I Remove Washer Nozzles?

This may be an easy one, but I figure I'll look for some advice before I get started . . .

How does one remove the washer nozzles from the hood of an '86 944? I can see the heater wires and hoses going in under the hood. Do these need to be disconnected first? Can someone give me a step-by-step procedure?

Thanks,

Mark

You can leave the hoses in place or cut them off. They are crimped to the nozzles, so if you need to fully remove them, then you will need to cut them then remove the metal crimp with pliers and use small hose clamps to reattach to the nozzles.

The nozzles have small plastic tongs that need to be pushed in on the side facing the windshield. You access these from under the hood. Once pushing the tabs in, the nozzle can be pushed outward, towards the outside surface of the hood. There are rubber grommets between the nozzles and the hood also.

Hope that helps
