Took the 951 to the drags tonight, have some 1/4 mile nubers

Yeah, I had a good time. I would do it again but I am selling my 951 and just wanted to race it once before I sell it. I just wished that I would've done better with my starts. The first guy that I beat by only .05 seconds had a top speed of 91 mph while I had a top speed of 96 mph. That means if I could've had a better start,` I could've hit the high 13s and definitely low 14s. There were people hittin low 14s with 95 mph top speed. Annother example why our cars are faster through midrange to top end speed.

I used to drag my 67 Cuda (14.0 @ 80-something mph) and my 71 Demon (12.20 @ 109mph best) back in Ontario but I've yet to drag either of the Porsches. I think it'd be a hoot to try but the only track here on the Island is a lowly 1/8th mile... sad.

What were his reaction/60' times to get mid 12's at 107? AWD certainly helps!

you guys do realize that you reaction time is not included in the ET (elapsed time), the clock starts ticking when your car starts rolling, so even if you sat there for 3 seconds your car would still run the same time. I just thought some people asking about what kind of reaction time is needed to run that time must be misunderstanding the Elapsed Times that we are quoting.

Ben, get a P-CarProfile so I can see your car. Is your 89 "glacier blue"?? Is it LY5U (IIRC)? If so, you are the only one, besides me, I've ever seen on an 89! Yay!

I have a friend in Puerto Rico, Ivan "Rabbit", got his nick name from prepping and running VW Rabbits at the race track, 1/4 miles in the high 10/low 11s. The guy is a master when it comes to setting up a car for the strip.

Correction: Ambos siguen al “toma y dame”, pero es Iván Rabbit, el que mantiene su ventaja hasta el final con tiempo de 8.24 a 145 mph
It is Ivan Rabbit that maintains his lead until the end with a final time of 8.24@145mph Wow!
and a few other results from his races:
Ivan Rabbit ( 8.15 at 166 mph)
Ivan Rabbit ( 8.18 a 163 mph )
