While we are on the subject of autocrosses...I got a questions for the gallery. Do you guys feel the competition at SCCA and related events becoming very tough and seroius? Seems to me that the SCCA events are being dominated more and more by points seekers than the occasional recreational weekend autocrosser. Almost everybody is running very sticky tires on fast, modified vehicles. Most of the other clubs still seem to have a more open and friendly atmosphere. I am not saying that the competition is bad at all. There is a time and a place for everything. However, I feel that the easy days of autocrossing at SCCA events are gone for better or worse.

What do you guys think?
