Can someone please post a picutre showing which dashboard light is the indicator for the alternator?

I think it's just a light at the bottom of the volt guage, just like how a light comes on if your temperature is too hot, or if your oil pressure is too low. Don't think there's an actual "alternator" light.

I believe the bottom part of the voltmeter gauge (see photo posted above) lights up (like the oil pressure) and the ! light comes on.

Haven't had this problem in my S2, so I'm not sure. In my early, there was a battery light that came on with alternator problems.

I think the battery light will light up.

I think you're right, the bottom bar (circled in green - I edited the picture above) lights up in red.
