Post RIght Front Brake Pads

What am I missing here? I just changed 4 rotors and the pads on my 86 944na. But for the life of me, I cannot get the pads in on the Right Front. I just can't seem to get the caliper to open wide enough to get the second pad in. I can get either the new outer or the new inner installed but the clearance just isn't there for both new pads.
What am I missing. 3 out of 4 wheels are done.
Thanks

Is the caliper off the rotor? If not, try that. If yes, the piston isn't back far enough, or the slider assembly isn't positioned correctly, or the outside pad isn't seated on the nub completely. If the piston will not slide back further (use big C-clamp to compress, or hammer and extension against hard surface) then you may have some rust on the inside - rebuilt caliper may be needed.

Good Luck!

I have tried it both ways. My brain was fried after spending too much time on this job. I think the caliper needs a rebuild, it is the same one I could not get fluid out when I bled it.
(Still need to check the bleed screw)

Sounds like that one has been fouled by water contamination - rust built up inside and is now taking its toll. Would suggest you purchase a good used or rebuilt caliper and let go of that one.
