Z-man: Thanks. I've been doing my best to keep the finish looking good, but I can tell these autocrosses are going to be the end of that...

Operator: Yeah - it's looking good. I suspect there will be a good turnout, especially considering many fresh off the control clinic (ala me) will be eager to put their new skills to work.

The hardest part will be finding a fast 944 turbo driver, we don't have any fast drivers in S7!

Simon, now now...944S has way more low end grunt than my 8:1 compression motor.

Zoltan...what was that again... .02 seconds ? ?

Dave...uhh...heyy....err....hmm....you wait and see one of these days you're going down...now where's my trusty knife...

And clem...they finally got a hold of you didn't they? "resistance is futile, we are the autox'ers"

Looks like it'll be a great turnout...many rennlisters...

Away from the trash talk...in the morning with a cold engine at barely any throttle the car seems much much faster than it does when the engine is warm....I still have the stock airbox...is it the air being heated as it goes through the snorkel and throughout the entire tract or what? I'm gonna get my nose panel cut soon...maybe that will help reduce temps?

It was closer: 0.006 seconds! That number will stay with me the rest of my life...

Actually, the air is warming up in the throttle body: they run coolant through the throttle body to prevent a condition known as icing in the cold. There is a simple way to bypass this: I'll show you on Sunday on my car. Probably the easiest way to reduce your air intake temps. Probably worth a 0.006% gain in horsepower! hehe.

See you guys on Sunday,
-Z.

Zoltan, Coolant in the throttle body?
Uhh...I had the TB off and I don't think I saw any place for coolant to flow...not even a way for coolant to get in there??? Maybe its an S2 thing? All I saw on the TB was the vac line connection on the bottom.

BTW Don't forget to bring the tape of the last NNJR autox on sunday, I'll bring the blank tape.
