I'm finding my strut nuts keep need to be retightened.
I know these are supposed be locking nuts, but I suspect mine have been removed and replaced at least one too many times, and aren't locking anymore.
Anyway, I checked at Pelican for a set of replacements -- about $20 each! (Porsche genuine parts, of course.)
In the meantime, I'm going to just go with loctite blue, but anyone know of a more reasonably priced source for 22mm locking nuts? I would think these are pretty standard...
BTW, the inserts I have in the front struts are actualy Bilsteins -- I'm assuming the 22mm nuts used by Bilstein are interchangable with the ones used by Boge, Koni etc... please advise if anyone knows (or suspects) this isn't correct.

Mark,
Any good bolt shop will sell these. I know of a couple of shops around Brisbane that should have these. You don't have to go US for hardware/tools. "Thin" spanners, spline drive sockets (for CVs, etc) are all available locally for cheaper than US.

Excellent! Thanks for any pointers, Eric.
My favourite Brisbane tool place at the moment is tradetoolsdirect (both affordable prices and surprisingly good quality.) Where are buying your tools?
It's _parts_ that I fiind it is amazing that I can often buy cheaper from the US, even after shipping. I try to buy from local suppliers when prices are at least comparable, but so often the price differences are just too much to ignore...

Depends on the tool but generally Trade Tools Direct, Typhoon tools (online store - got spline drive sockets from them), Supercheap (some of their stuff is actually OK), Repco.
