Now this is a tactic I've never seen used when trying to sell a car

I've always wanted to see it myself- I've read the whole story on that car several times- it's pretty intersting- I know it fairly well! It wasn't really my interst in cars that drove me to it though. I've done a lot of research on outlaws of the Great Depression Era as well as Al Capone & the Chicago syndicate & even some on the actual Mob from that era. Outlaws like: Pretty Boy Floyd & Adam Richetti, John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Verne Miller, Frank Nash, B&C, The Barker's & Alvin Karpis- NO NOT "Ma" Barker- she was DEFINATELY not a leader of ANY gang- Harvey Bailey said that when he, Freddie, & Alvin were planning bank jobs, that she was in the "other room listening to hillbilly music on the radio." That's what happens w/history though- J. Edgar Hoover- quite possibly the biggest criminal POS of them all- had to come up w/a good story as to why an old woman & her son were surrounded & shot down- Hoover was ALWAYS good at creating stories & enemies! Just about the whole bunch that I've mentioned so far, were shot in the back W/OUT warning- B&C's ambush was probably the worst, although some of them (especially Floyd) had several situations were they prevailed, even when they had their backs turned & the only warning sounds they heard were the guns being fired at them. Some of them did a lot of bad things, some of them not so bad- some of them were made into legends by a bored, starving public & others were actually larger in life than their legends could ever be. I've found several of them to be VERY intersting subjects. Funny the way movies & such change things though- I mean, Clyde didn't look a thing like Warren Beaty, and most of that film was pure fiction- don't even get me started on Capone movies or ANY of the few movies that had ANYTHING to do w/the Kansas City Massacre- wait, am I rambling again?
Too bad- the e-bay site was shut-down by the time I got to it a minute ago- it said it was an unauthorized #...
Oh, BTW- if I remember correctly, the B&C car had ~100 miles on it when they stole it from it's rightful owners- it was brand new- when they were killed almost 30 days later, it had almost 9000 miles on it- that's almost 300 miles/day on 1934 roads, most of which, didn't even have PAVEMENT! Also, I remember reading recently, that someoen offered Wiskey Pete's $1,000,000 for it, but were turned down...
