Post 968 CS club sport steering wheel for $290

hello
Since many of you asked for this wheel I aranged a group purchase
directly from the factory.
The price is
$190 for the wheel
$50 for the horn button with Porsche crest
and $50 for the adapter

a hub spacer for racing is also available for $22

a very nice pic of this wheel can be found at Tom pages <a href="http://www.944s2.com" target="_blank">www.944s2.com</a>
under cosmetic or directly at
<a href="http://www.944s2.com/cosmetic/pages/968wheel_2.htm" target="_blank">http://www.944s2.com/cosmetic/pages/968wheel_2.htm</a>

To avoid any missunderstanding this is the wheel I am talking about and
it fits in the 964, 924, 968 and with a different adapter in the 911
from 74-89

I am not sure but I think it fits the 993 too since I have one from a
993 in my car.

Konstantin
PS shipping is $10 andtakes 30 days or $20 takes 5 days or $50 takes 2 days.

2 questions.....

1) is the crest embossed or badge?

2) what's the adapter for? I thought these were a direct replacement for 944/951 without airbags??

TIA....

Thats a GREAT price for the steering wheel itself. But as to the other post on here, I thought we could get the embossed horn pad for 35.00 from somewhere and the adapter was included??

Please advise

it is the same as on the pic I posted. Look at the 944S2.com

You can buy teh crest and put it by your self later if you want. I did this too and have a picture of one here.

you need the hub as the original wheel has no extar hub adapter it is only one piece bolted on the wheel. Or you can take out your old wheel put 4 bolts and bolt it on the new wheel. It will work But I am not sure if you can do this safelly.
This is a steering wheel and I would play with it. I would pay the $50 extar and be happy sainc eit has a TUV certification for safety on a P car and as you already know there is nothing better than a TUV aprovnes when it comes to safety.

I will let you know in a couple days how to pay etc.
I am waiting as I want to order all wheels at one time. Sorry but I do not want to do this job all the time;-)

I am interested in the wheel, the adapter, and the horn pad.

Could you give us more details on the hub spacer for racing. It sounds like a good solution to my problem of having to recline my seat back and slide it forward further than I would like when wearing a helmet. Does this space the steering wheel further from the dash? If so, how much further? Also, does using this spacer still require the adapter? Finally, am I correct in assuming that reaching the control stalks would be more difficult with this spacer in place?

I looked into this. It was actually $37.78 + 15% + shipping from Sunset Imports. So, really you are talking about $44 plus shipping. You might as well go with Konstantin so that you have everything at once.

Ditto...

Also, I have a Momo Competition steering wheel, and was wondering if the spacer would work w/it? If so, I might like to order the spacer only from you, if possible? I am also wondering about using the 968CS wheel on a Turbo S- I would actually consider it, *** i almost like it better than my Momo, but I doubt I'd be able to get the horn to work any easier- any suggestions?

Thanks,
Robby

Not to crash on this great offer, but if someone wants the 1/2 inch spacer only I've got one that I decided not to install with my new AJ-USA wheel.
It is new. If anyone needs only this piece make me an offer.

My point with the 35.00 instead of the 50.00, was that I thought that you could get a much better price from the factory than at a retail site.

If the so called factory price is 50.00 and the retail site price is 35.00....I guess its not such a great deal, for that part anyway...the deal on the steering wheel itself is awesome
