Post brake pad question...

Are front and rear brake pads the same on an 86 951? The old pads on my car are shaped a little differently on the front, the new metal masters are the same. ????

The fronts just had a little more of an extension of the metal on the bottom - maybe they were a different brand? I don't know what was on there before.

Do they fit snugly and the same way as the ones you pulled off? Does the "extension" rub the disc when you turn it?
