924 Turbo/944 Steering Knuckle Question, PLEASE HELP!
Hello everyone! I have a 1980 924 turbo with the 5 bolt wheel option and I've been trying to find a passenger side steering knuckle (front axle, hub, spindle, etc.) with very little luck. I'm wondering if the steering knuckles from the early 944's would work? I measured my damaged knuckle, the inner wheel bearing diameter on the axle is 1.25 inches and the outer diameter is just a hair under 3/4 inches. Also if you measure across the two holes that the brake caliper bolts too it measures 3 inches from center to center. I already tried buying a new knuckle on ebay, but the seller shipped me a 4 bolt knuckle (the axle diameters are smaller and the center to center measurement for the brake caliper mounting holes is 3.75 inches. If anyone can give me advice on where to get this part or if the early 944s would work please respond. I have no problem using a used part as long as the axle is straight. Thank you all very much!

I just looked it up on PET. Looks like the 5 lug 924 turbo spindles have the same part numbers as 944 spindles through 1986. The right spindle, bearings, hub, studs, seals, etc. all had identical part numbers except for one
The inner hub bearing did have a different part number on the 924 turbo compared to the 944. I would imagine that this is insignificant considering all the other parts are the same.
So, looks like your pool of donor cars has suddenly increased at least 100 fold!
