I just "survived" my own Doug Cooper experience. I paid on May 9th...received promise after promise that were not met. Some of the stories I did get from him were very hard to believe and his responsiveness/communication was terrible.
He finally refunded my payment on June 25th. I could give a very detailed story but for now, I'll just say Buyer beware.

We paid $2500 for an engine for a truck that we bought out of texas, and found out after that the block was bad. We have been waiting for the engine since march, and have only been able to talk to Doug once (last week 7/22/11). Our mechanic has gone as far as sitting on his front porch all day waiting for him to come home so that he could get the promised engine. We still DO NOT have it, and he said last week he would refund our money, but we have yet to see that as well. The current phone number I have for him is differnt than the one posted in other threads and I will try that as well. The one we have is 281-748-6780. Since this has all started our mechanic has had a stroke and we just want our money back so that we can get our truck up here to use it!
Doug- if you do happen to read this, please don't be a complete jerk and return our money to us or Tony. I have filed a complaint on Pay Pal as well!
