Default Rear Hatch Seal

I get wind noise from the upper part of the rear hatch at about 60 mph. I have resealed the hatch so I looked tonight and found that the rubber seal appears to be smashed flat where the hinges are. This seems to be where the air is leaking. Has anyone dealt with this? Is it a bad rubber seal? Any thoughts appreciated.

Probably the seal. Not sure. I checked mine just now and it's a tad flat by the hinges but it doesn't look out of the ordinary to me. I'd see if the hatch is sitting square, and see where the seal may not be making adequate contact.

I found an aftermarket supplier, seems to work ok, porshhhh951 got some, and hasn't told me different than all is good...

Let me know if you want to check it out in Hershey, the OEM parts suppliers are selling replacement seal for $150 or so...You can check mine out as long as I make it to Hershey... it is on the fence right now waiting for parts to come in... DAMN BACKORDER....

Thanks. So I'll take a look for any place it doesn't seem to be impacting the seal. Is there a way to check if it is sitting square? I have no issues with opening or closing.

I appreciate the offer in Hershey but a bit of a trip for me (west coast).

Thanks for the Paragon tip. They seem to be a pretty good place for 944 stuff.

great avy Patrick.

If you want a new rear hatch seal hit up John. I still think he may have some left over he is willing to part with. Worked well on my car.
