Question 920X Tensioning Tool Assembly Question

I'm preparing to use the Arnnworx 920X tensioning tool for the first time on my S2 and noticed that when assembling the gauge to the tool body, there's no way to make it start at zero without preloading the tool.

Bruce's instructions say "Note: since readings in these procedures are the difference between a reference reading an a final reading, there is no need to zero the gauge or make preliminary gauge settings."

So, I take it this means you just attach the gauge to the tool body and clamp it on, irrespective of what the gauge reads and calculate the difference between readings to set the proper tension? TIA

Bruce Arnn will likely chime in to confirm this, but I believe your statement above is correct. BTW - I will be pulling out my 920X in a week or two after I finish fixing a front seal oil leak...
