Find office 98 or 2000

Excel is pretty generic and you should be able to find it fairly cheaply.

tecart,

Go to www.openoffice.org and get the OpenOffice free download. It will do evreything Microsoft Office Suite can do and its free. Should run fine on your box.

I agree with Rod.

Openoffice is VERY nice and should work well for you.

However, if you REALLY need M$ office go ahead and shuck out the $$$ for office XP.

Office XP is the best MS Office Suite version yet..can convert any type of prior software MS made. Older versions of MS Ofice will work fine.. I have a copy (several actually) of Office 97 Pro I'll sell to you.. Full install and will readily convert Microsoft Works V 3.0 and up (MY Favorite Oxymoron BTW! MS Works-- ROFLMAO!!!)

I believe Office 98, and Office 2001 were MS Office suites for Mac products only..

E-mail if your interested.

I started using OpenOffice that came bundled with RedHat Linux V 8.. Its awesome.. I also have a copy of Lotus Smartsuite 97 i'll part with for shipping costs/- just trying to help.

if your gonna get a full version of office XP and dont want to fork over the $500+ you can get office XP for students and teachers, you just lose your ability to upgrade.

you should:

1. check your email
2. throw another stick of PC100 128Mb RAM in your machine (for sure- it's too cheap not too)
3. throw out all copies of "works" what a piece of crap!

cheers..
