Philly Area 951 Owners
I couldn't find a begging icon, so hopefully this one will work. I'm interested in an '88 951 in the Philadelphia area, and I was hoping that a current 951 owner could look the car over for me. I intend to have a PPI performed on the car, but I would like to get a second opinion before I take the road trip from Albany to look at her.

If anyone is interested, I'll toss in a case of Yuengling to make it worth your while. Please e-mail me.
Thanks,
Jon

Hell, that's worth a keg of Yuengling. Anyone willing to host? I'll buy the wings. I'm setting up a PPI in the next couple days, so I'll keep you guys posted.
Thanks, again.

where in the philly area is the car? one of us maybe able to recommend a shop for the ppi given cars location. some suggestions (i have no affiliation w/ these guys other than a satisfied customer):
dougherty automotive (west of the city)
dinardo foriegn motors 215 443 5335(north of the city)
auto technik 609 730 1111 (east of the city...couple miles into nj)
i can take a look at the car also, but my 951 is in hybernation mode so i'll be taking the stealth. it would have to be a sat/sun unless its local to me. im in for the group thing to....have 944/51s surround the sellers house like covered wagons....hehehe talk about selling pressure

Okay, so here's the scoop. The car is sitting at Brandywine Porsche in Newtown Square right now. Tomorrow, a leak-down test and compression test will be performed along with the usual PPI. If things go as planned, I'll be in Philly next weekend to check it out. If any of you guys are up for it, I'd really appreciate having someone else look at it for a good second opinion.
Thanks again for the help.

UPDATE:
Well, the car was not worth the trip to Philly. Prepurchase inspection found damage to the undercarriage, as well as very poor results from the leak-down test. Thanks everybody for your offers to help, and I hope that I'll be able to buy a round for you guys when I decide to take the right car on a road trip.
