hey all - i'm hoping to tap the collective automotive wisdom of the list by asking if anyone knows when a re-design of the bmw 3-series is due. my girlfriend is just about ready to pull the trigger and buy a 330Ci, but doesn't want to get 'stuck' with an instantly 'old' design...

The 7 Series has been out for a little more than a year, the 5 series line prepares for a model-year-2004 redesign, the Z4 is out, my bet is that the 3 series should follow closely... I would recommend her to wait.

What is she currently driving??

she's driving a honda right now....but its ok as its parked on the street in DC. disposable car. she graciously gives up her parking garage spot for the 951. she is a real car enthusiasts and has realllly been bitten by the porsche bug and i'm sure that a 911 of some variety is in her/our future. but for now - for a number of reasons - the 330 coupe is the front-runner. thanks for the site suggestions and the info!
