Would this kit work for the 944S? If so that would be really sweet. I live in Houston, which is <3 hrs away. I could consider being the tester.

I need to ask mark as to whether or not it would work with the 944s model.

Oh by the way, you 924s owners out there, this kit would work for you cars too, since it has the same engine.

Longtime76: He's checking on the compatibility for the 944S. Don't those cars have a higher compression ratio? I'll keep you posted.

yes tabor, but I meant isn't it higher than the compression ratio of the 1983-1987 944's? Also, what other engine differences are there between the 944 and the 944S, besides the 4 valves per cylinder?

"It sure would be nice to see something available for the N/A cars. Not only would it make it
nicer for the street, it would make for a fairly inexpensive track car." [snip]

yeah! that would put you in gt3 with some bada$$ cars too! it is true that some people just look for a reason to slam people, but, some just try to keep others from repeating mistakes that they have made themself (like me) :^) also 4-5 psi is not going to give you as much horsepower as the 951's stock 12 psi. you also have to figure in the parasitic loss that is inherent with superchargers. also, the 944n/a headgasket is not going to hold much boost. you also have to consider that the 951 has an intercooler to allow that boost and output to be delivered safely. etc, etc. not to say that the idea is not intriguing, but, you are not going to just slap on a SC and get 951 power......at least not for long. no flames.....just facts

well id be interested as being the test car, i live about 20 miles east of austin and i go to school in waco. not having the car for a while is not a big problem. id need an estimate for the cost of the materials, possibly some time to save up the money for it if that would be ok. the only real problem is my car is having valve train problems right now, and still needs a little maintenance. its a 86 944 n/a by the way. give me an email if you can get this info, dustymills@hotmail.com . thanks!
