Mark, Mike,
Thanks for the comments, it was often a daunting task with various setbacks along the way. Being a part of Rennlist was always very encouraging and helpful though. Helpful enough to see the project through and get to the point of being able to enjoy the car for what it is. I am sure Perry would feel the same.

My primary thought with choosing the colour was to find something that would look more modern. The wife of a 911 CS owner told me the other day she thought my car looked like a 2003 model
I had a few chuckles over that. I know many of you will agree that the 944 does have timeless lines and classic good looks though! - A perfect reason to restore one to good condition.

Hey, Turbopop - isn't that an old ('77-79) 924 colour? I know I've seen 924's that colour... got a pic around here somewhere... will torture you with it...

Wow, you guys have really done some work. Mine's not as drastic, but if you look at Pics 1 and 3 on my P-CarOnline profile (see my sig) you'll see what removing discolored door strips and taking rubbing alcohol to discolored stone-guards can do. Pic one is the seller's pic that I lifted off AutoTrader.com when I bought the car. I can't beleive the P.O. drove it like that! Anyone with discolored stone-guards should really take 5 minutes to rub some isopropyl on them.
