Default early 944 power outlet?

I don't remember from before I ripped out my console...did the early 944 have a power outlet / cig lighter socket? if so, where? I'm trying to find a wire that I can use for switched power to trigger a relay.

Yes, there is a power outlet, but it's unswitched. Find the wire for the lighter (solid red, 1mm diameter) and trace it back to the radio relay just next to the DME on the left side of the steering column. The red wire for the lighter gets it's power from this relay at pin 30, but it's unswitched battery power. Tap the wire comming from pin1 of the radio relay, that will give you switched power.

How much power do you need? The wire at Pin1 of the radio relay should be good for 8 amps (fuse #7)
