Thumbs up Good 944 Site

I don't post stuff like THIS very often, but I enjoyed reading the info on this site. Yeah, yeah it's hosted on Geocities...but you can tell the guy has put lots of time into getting accurate details [from what I can see]. I learned a lot. Check it out:

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/3322/index.htm" target="_blank">http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/3322/index.htm</a>

Be sure to click all the links along the way, or you can miss a TON of good info.

$#%@^!! Damn Geocities crapped out just as I was clicking on the oil cooler info.

I've been looking for that diagram that shows the oil and water temperatures on the Y axis and minutes from startup on the X.... Anyone?

"Sorry, this site is temporarily unavailable!
The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer. "

And 30 minutes later Rennlist users kill another Geocities website. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" /> It's just like Chinese food, wait 1 hour and it'll be hungry again.

Yup, there's a lot of you out there lurking, aren't ya!

Dan,
waiting for the clock to tick off..

Geocities can't link the image, either. Sorry. I've got it cached but it won't display or link.

hey you guys, what's the name of one of those programs that let a person copy a whole web site for off line retrieval? i had to load one of them on some client machines in this law firm (litigation) where i did a short contract. they used the data that they collected as proof of wrongdoing.
i like <a href="http://www.the-etc.com/include.php?path=start.php" target="_blank">the european transaxel community</a> but you guys won't dig it, beacuse it's in deutsche... so much info out there in internetland, especially in french (<a href="http://scandela.free.fr/asarus/asarus_cup_monthlery2002small.avi" target="_blank">turbo cup video (68 Mb)</a> - haven't seen this though)!

(trevor: the internet is *not* bad, it's those that sit behind the terminal!)

I've been using WinHTTrack recently. I downloaded it from cnet.com and it seems to work fairly well. I guess I should have thought of that before.

EDIT: Cool, now I don't have to deal with geocities.

thanks - that was a great idea.

re: the site... i *sure* a lot of that text was taken from one book or another. the text seems quite english (british), so it would have to be either the michael cotton book or peter morgan or both. those images look familiar as well, but i have seen better (esp. the EA425 car)

nonehteless, not a bad site. now on to get a copy of <a href="http://www.porsche.ru/porsches" target="_blank">http://www.porsche.ru/porsches</a> before it goes down....
