Default took my wheels/tires off, here's what I found:

the wheels are 16

the ones in rear say 16x7
the ones in the front I can't make out the numbers because its so dirty; what can I use to clean all that stuck in black dirt? I can see some long #'s on there, just not the size

also, the wheels in the back say ET55 or ET52

this is an early car, so I guess that explains the HUGE spacers that are on the car now?

what were the numbers for 16" wheels? you guys mentioned a few times that they look like Cup 2's, so that's what I'm coming from, here's a pic:

we also tried to turn the engine over again, and it turns over easy, no problems; so I'm ordering that Rennbay timing belt kit with tools, going to put it on, and start the car and see/hear how it runs, do a leakdown test to make sure everything is a-ok-ey

yes they do, and I can barely make out ET # I have on the wheels that are in the front

if we just put a tape measure across the wheel, they come out to be 16x9 and 16x8, but I'm sure I don't know what I'm doing so how do I properly size the wheels up?

maybe I'll take a picture of the spacer so you guys can see what I mean when i say this sucker's are HUGE and there is 1 on every corner

Try using brake cleaner to get the wheels clean. Just rinse off well when done.

If the timing belt broke you're going to have to pull the head and replace the bent valves. You can't just slap on a new belt.

Kurt - thanks, I think this is where I am headed now

Joe and Darren - thank you for your help with the wheels! and that link! Wheels are #6 on that page, Cup Design.

I cleaned them up like Eddie said, just enough so I can see the letters, so they read:

16x7 ET55
and
16x8 ET52

the 8's were in the front and the 7's were in the rear.

So I am going to have my wheels and tires dismounted and fixed.

225/50/16 is going in the front on 16x7's
and
225/60/16 going on to the 16x8's in the rear

I may think about upping the rear tire to 245/45 or 245/50, I plan to autocross the car - so any suggestions? I am not worried about rotating tires at all, the car won't be driven that much (+ untill its fixed, probably another month or so?)

Any idea on what the wheels are worth?

I am going to take pictures of the spacers that are on the car; for measuring them up, I can just put tape measurer across it right?

How old / many miles did you do on that belt?

Good luck with the repair hope there are not too many bend valves.

well, we didnt think anything when we did it; car went on the blocks, I guess now I need a new cylinder head

anyone has a spare one laying around? would love to get one in good condition, maybe rebuilt one already?

I dont know how many miles are on the belt; when I bought the car I didn't get any info on it, everything around it and about it was good

now I'm begining to wonder in what condition is that clutch ...

Roman

I think it was on ebay yesterday that I saw some guy selling like 6 NA heads...some were stock and some had been ported and polished.
