smooth shift into 2nd...scratchy shift into 3rd
i have no idea what this problem is. i think it could either be the clutch pedal needing adjusted or the syncro's are going out...
but whenever i shift into 3rd it seems a bit reluctant to go. it can be described as what a shift feels like when the clutch isnt fully depressed. it will make a scratch noise and then will go into 3rd.
i can shift into 3rd just fine when i take it nice and slow, but under hard acceleration the shift from 1st to 2nd is smooth and quick but the shift from 2nd to 3rd always scratches. then 3rd to 4th is smooth.
it also scratches sometimes when downshifting from 4th to 3rd.
so what could the problem be? most of the time 3rd gear is smooth, but it does this occassionally and bothers me.
and i have owned several manual trans cars and i know i am putting the clutch in all the way, so whats the problem?
