Brake Warning Lights

I just changed the water pump, cam and balance belts in my 84 944, put in a new vacuum valve at the rear of the motor by the heater valve, and replaced the charcoal canister. Now both brake warning lights stay on. All the pads and the front rotors and sensors were replaced about a year ago. What the heck could I have done to make these lights stay on? I don't see where I knocked anything loose.

Lew, I'm not sure if the '84 has a brake fluid warning float swich, but chec your brake fluid level. Also check the parking brake lever. If it's not _all_ the way down, it can light a light (guess how I know); likewise if something is jammed in the switch under it, or the switch is stuck / failed.
After that, start checking the plugs for the wear sensors at the wheels. One may have come loose.
Beyond that, we'll have to wait for more knowledgable folks to chime in....
Jim, time for the Saturday night footwashin'....
