DLR.. run it with the front of the belt covers off. You'll see where the leak is... just monitor your oil level.

My upper one was leaking like a fire hose for some strange reason. Took the seal out, all was good. Replaced both the mylar and the main seal with new ones, tight as a drum.

Sometimes they just don't seat well. As said above, drive them in at a different depth from before, make sure they are square in the bores and lubricated well upon install.

If it is burning off your exhaust it can only be the cam housing or the rear cam cork gasket, nothing else will get the header, my cam housing gasket leaked after I replaced it, I did it again this time using gasket cememnt and now it doesn't leak.
It will burn off as fast as it leaks, that is why it is hard to find.

My leak was comming from the threads of the lower counter balance shaft bolt. The plug in the balance shaft loosened and allowed oil to travel down the threads and out under the bolt head. I used some Loc-Tite on the threads to seal them up and after one year, no leak.

Could be my installation of the seal or a bad race. Either way, they've been very supportive! I'll report back once installed. Thanks again for the ideas.

Did you lube the new seals????If everyting is all nice and clean and reassembled and you don't wipe a little grease on the seal lip it can burn up in the first minute or so after you start the engine up.

Update:

It appeared the leak was coming from between the lower balance shaft and race. While these were new parts, I went ahead and removed them both. The new race fit more snug. With the race in, I installed the new seal using the balance shaft seal tool.

The new race and seal cured the last of my oil leaks!!!!!!!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Not sure if the race was defective or the seal was not installed properly. I would say the seal, if inserted too far, could cover the orifice in the support bracket causing the seal to leak on the outside of the housing. I recommend using the balance shaft seal tool. Didn't use it the first time because the bracket was out of the car. In anycase, NO MORE LEAKS!!! Thanks everybody!
