Question 944 (late) underdash refinishing

The "underdash" on my 951 is really looking worn. I say "underdash" because I'm not sure of the technical name for it. Its the part of the dash under the steering wheel but above the radio...hard to explain..anyway. I want to give it some touch up paint (its vinyl, right?) to take out some of the worn areas. Anyone done this? Any recommendations for who to get the paint from? I have a linen color interior if that helps. Thanks guys!

You probably will want to use SEM vinyl dye. It is sold in an aerosol can just like spray paint. However, it is a colored dye - custom made for restoring original color to plastic and vinyl.

I have used such dyes on my interior plastics and vinyls with good results. You can buy the dyes at your local auto paint shop. Presumably they will have a good match for your linen interior.
