Talking Tune up help

I bought my car about 6 weeks ago and have put on about 2,000 miles since then. I wanted to do a tune up and just check everything for the first time so I know that everything is full and running good. Here is a list of things I am going to check/replace,

Windshield blades (Need them)
Oil & Filter (Need to do)
Air Filter (Thinking of getting a K&N??..)
O2 Sensor (Going to replace)
Fuel Filter (Going to replace)
Spark plugs & Dist. (Going to check/replace)
Power Steering Fluid
Brake Fluid
Cooling System
Tire pressure
Transmission Fluid (I am thinking of replacing it?)

Any help would be great you guys. I was thinking of putting in a K&N airfilter in my car and also changing my transmission fluid with a good one, I heard about a racing one that people use that is good?? I also was going to replace the O2 sensor and fuel filter because I am not sure if they have been done and with a car with 110,000 miles on it don't want to push it. If you need to know I have a '86 944 Turbo with 110,000. Thanks.

Oh yea a big question, I live in Akron, Ohio and will be driving all year round; what oil should I put into my car? I am thinking of a full syn. one but what brands and also what weight? Like 5w-30, 10w-30?? Thanks.

Redline is probably the tranny oil your thinking of. Everyone seems to have pretty good results with it. Thats what it have in mine now.

In Ohio this time of year I would use a thick oil, don't bother with synthetic Dino oil is just fine. When doing the fuel filer spray alot of penetrating oil on the connections as they tend to sieze up alot. Make sure to clamp the line comming from the fuel tank or you will be swimming in gas! When doing the 02 sensor make sure to run the engine to operating temp thus heating up the pipes to make for an easy removal (becarefull this stuff gets hot especially on a turbo). K&N filters are good, I have one aswell. Transmission oil should be replaced every 30 to 40 thousand miles in these cars. Definatly use synthetic. The racing stuff you were talking about is most likely made by Swepco or Redline. I use valvoline full synthetic 75w 90. Use a little more than 2 liters. Don't bother with power steering ATF it's fine. Definatly do the Cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires with dialectric grease.

Good luck
Christian
